600,000 for the public good! The result of the Beats for love charity campaign broke records

Last year’s Beats for Love music festival brought not only the participation of electronic music stars, but also proof that our hearts beat for charity and helping people in unfavourable life situations. Fans and festival organisers together broke the record for the Beats for Charity fundraising. The festival donated CZK 600,000 to support ten-year-old Kačenka Bojková, who is struggling with the consequences of a serious car accident.

More than half of this amount was donated by the festival visitors themselves. They could buy key chains, candies or send their contributions online. “Our transparent bank account, where people contributed using a QR code, helped a lot. Anyone could join the donation campaign,” festival director Kamil Rudolf explains. Not only he, but also the entire organizing team was impressed by the amount of money raised – 383,836 crowns and 49 cents.

The Beats for Love representatives already confirmed last summer that they would increase the amount raised. The total amount therefore reached a notable 600,000 crowns. At the end of last year, the money collected was handed over to Kačenka and her mother. “All the festival fans who contributed to the collection have our appreciation. Not only because the amount raised is a record, but mainly because they got involved. Thanks to them, we can help Kačenka in the difficult period she is going through,” Kamil Rudolf said.

Kačenka Bojková from Těrlicko near Havířov has been struggling with the consequences of a serious car accident since October 2022. However, the young horse and cycling lover is constantly proving her will and strong spirit. With the support of her loved ones, she is learning to speak again and is regularly rehabilitating to regain her mobility. The donated money will be allocated to her treatment and rehabilitation. “Kačenka inspires everyone around her and we hope that the donations from our fundraising will help to ensure her maximum comfort. And we might even meet in Ostrava at a festival sometime in the future,” Kamil Rudolf hopes.

The organizers are already busily preparing the 10th anniversary edition of the largest electronic music festival in Central Europe and are revealing 3 new star performers every week. It is certain that Beats for Love will include another Beats for Charity campaign this year, aimed at supporting those struggling with misfortunate destiny within the Moravian-Silesian region.
